Cherry Lane is a dynamic seven-piece big band that reimagine current songs with a vintage twist as well as playing favourite covers from the soul, jazz, blues and disco world. With each performer bringing an abundance of experience, together we take pride in delivering exceptional performances that leave a lasting impression.

Abbey - Vocalist
Song to get her on the D floor: “Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie” ABBA
Singing for as long as she can remember, Abbey has been professionally gigging as a vocalist solo, duo, in trios and bands for 10 years. She graduated from SHOWFIT’s Musical Theatre course in 2020 & prior to that studied at the Australian Institute of Music. Since then, she’s become a Hybrid Singer DJ, debuted her solo cabaret show ABBAsolutely Abbey and made a name for herself in Melbourne’s entertainment scene. She most recently starred in Shimmery Burlesque at the Athenaeum Theatre.

Bella - Saxophone
Song to get her on the D floor: “Cotton Eyed Joe” Rednex
Bella has been playing the saxophone for 14 years. She completed a Bachelor in Music Performance at Collarts & is now studying her Masters in Teaching Music at the University of Melbourne. She's known to play a wide range of genres stating she 'plays everything but metal'. Bella has performed with multiple bands all over Melbourne, playing a variety of gigs from pubs to festivals & also has some experience in the recording studio.

Casey - Trombone

Casey has been playing in pro and semi pro bands around Melbourne for the past 10 years. His diverse career has seen him running his own function band as well as playing in a different array of groups ranging from big bands, orchestras, musical theatre and trad jazz on sousaphone. When he’s not out gigging, Casey is a brass tutor at 2 schools and he can't wait to play in front of a live audience again.

Hunter - Guitar

Hunter is a multifaceted musician specialising in guitar with over a decade of experience. He has completed a bachelor of music performance at Box Hill Institute and has performed with a number of bands in the styles of Jazz, Afrobeat, Rock, RnB and Latin music. His current projects include running a Latin band 'Salsa Casera', performing in duo’s and being a part of Cherry Lane.

Jordan - Drums

Jordan is an emerging drummer & composer who can be spotted playing through a variety of musical avenues within the Melbourne music scene. Jazz, Soul, RnB & Funk are genres that Jordan specialises in. His talents come from a deep passion & connection with the rhythmic elements of music. He draws musical inspiration from artists & drummers such as Anderson Paak, Chris Coleman, Nate Smith, Louis Cole, JD Beck & Brian Blade.

Nicholas - Double Bass

Nicholas is an electric and acoustic bassist from Melbourne’s east. With over a decade’s experience, he feels at home on a stage, and loves sharing music with audiences of all types. Currently studying a Bachelor of Music, Nicholas spends the rest of his time playing in projects spanning genres from Jazz to Soul to Folk and back again, bringing passion and dependability to every note.

Thomas - Keyboard

Indie artist, songwriter & keyboardist Thomas is a highly versatile musician. Combining talents across a variety of instruments, with his keen musical ear, he can effortlessly create new & unique arrangements. He released his debut EP Rewind at the beginning of 2020 & his covers have been endorsed by international artists such as James Taylor, Lior, Dave Barnes & Matchbox Twenty.
